A Saviour’s Destiny

A family curse born in the Great Famine casts a long shadow. A baby buried behind the barn, a
brother’s final words: “Every time you pass the barn, you will be reminded of your cruelty.” Roses now
grow there, planted in repentance; their beauty a reminder of a wound that never healed.

Decades later, that legacy settles on Jaime Benson, a gifted young athlete whose life collapses after a
tragic accident. The path that follows breaks him apart, leaving him unrecognisable — “the dead look
in his eyes told her he would never be the same.” Yet in the darkest place, discipline and unlikely
friendship keep him alive. When freedom comes, Jaime builds a life far from home, determined never
to be found. But destiny has other plans. A miracle, a reunion, and a final act of courage force him to
face the truth he has run from for years.

A Saviour’s Destiny is a story of suffering, redemption, and the love that brings a family back to life.

Trevor Manuel discovered writing as a hobby, soon realising he had a gift for tracing the hidden
emotions that shape people’s lives. His storytelling is drawn to ordinary families carrying
extraordinary burdens, and the moments of grace that pull them back into the light.

Only time will tell how far this new love will flow.
